Overtime, Playoff Structure and Penalty Update - CFIHL A League

We're excited to announce a few changes to Overtime, Playoff Structure and Penalty Structure beginning in CFIHL A Season 11:

TIME 3 x 15 minute periods, running clock until 3 minutes left (if 3 goal game or less).

NEW! 2 minute minor penalties but the clock can be stopped if PK team is slow to get to faceoff at REFS discretion.

NEW! Only the top 4 teams will make the playoffs.  A consolation game can be played if the 5/6 teams want but seeding is important in the A league!

VERY NEW Tie games will now go to 3 on 3 for 3 minutes, if still tied 2 on 2 for 2 minutes, and if STILL tied 1 on 1 until there's a goal!  Any penalties during this time will result in a penalty shot.
